Anthos simplifies application modernization with managed service mesh and serverless for your hybrid cloud

Image
For decades, organizations built and ran applications in their own on-premises data centers. Then, they started deploying and running applications in the cloud. But, for most enterprises, the thought of moving all-in to the cloud was too daunting. They worried they would need different developers and tools for each environment, and that they wouldn’t have a consistent management interface to ensure the environments were compliant with their security policies. To address these challenges, we introduced   Anthos , a services platform that brings applications into the 21st century, with the flexibility to run in any environment—whether it’s cloud-native or based on virtual machines.  Today, we’re announcing new Anthos capabilities to further simplify your application modernization journey:  Anthos Service Mesh , which connects, manages, and secures microservices Cloud Run for Anthos , which enables you to easily run stateless workloads on a fully managed Anthos environment In

See when someone is out of office in Gmail and Hangouts Chat

Image
This update is helpful when you want to have a chat or email someone. This will show whether a person is available or not. When a particular person put “out of office” status this will be shown in the chat & as well as in gmail. Not only that in addition to showing their availability, this will say when this person would be available in gmail & in hangouts the same will appear.  As the email receiver this could help you in many ways. One is that people will not bother you with their urgent email clarifications & on the other hand you can have the maximum amount of your time while you are away from your work. By seeing the “out of office” banner you know that you’re not gonna get a quick response as the receiver is out of office. Also at the same time you can allocate meetings & other things accordingly since this banner shows you the date the receiver is coming back to the office. So no miscommunications between anyone. What a great way to manage of

Streaming data from Cloud Storage into BigQuery using Cloud Functions

Image
Using Cloud Storage from  Google Cloud Platform  (GCP) helps you securely store your data and integrate storage into your apps. For real-time analysis of Cloud Storage objects, you can use GCP’s BigQuery. There are a bunch of options for streaming data from a  Cloud Storage  bucket into a  BigQuery  table. We’ve put together a new solution guide to help you stream data quickly into BigQuery from Cloud Storage. We’ll discuss in this post how to continually copy newly created objects in Cloud Storage to BigQuery using Cloud Functions. Using Cloud Functions lets you automate the process of copying objects to BigQuery for quick analysis, allowing you near real-time access to data uploaded to Cloud Storage. This means you can get better information faster, and respond more quickly to events that are happening in your business. Cloud Functions  is GCP’s event-driven, serverless compute platform, which provides automatic scaling, high availability, and fault tolerance with no servers to
