Option to replace your background in Google Meet is now available on Android

 An eagerly awaited feature has been announced by Google. You can now change your background by using given images in your Google Meet on the Android device. Also if you wish you can blur your background as well.

Given images will help you to face any meeting without worrying about your surroundings. It could be an interview or an important meeting, there are several backdrops for you to choose from. This allows you to face the camera with courage, especially during this pandemic, since most of the meetings, interviews are happening online.

Given update is not limited to professional backgrounds. There are plenty of other backdrops where you can use for friendly catch-ups, online classes, etc.

For admins - This feature is controllable with an admin setting.
For end users - This feature is OFF by default. 

Availability

Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as G Suite Basic and Business customers
