Share profile links via Contacts easily

Image
A new Google Contacts (contacts.google.com) interface that offers detailed information about your coworkers and stakeholders was introduced in 2021. Every Workspace email contact now gets a new profile link that is simple to copy, share, and transmit among colleagues. This new profile link makes it easier for everyone in your company to connect and keep in contact. Admins: It's beneficial to have user data fully supplied across all Google Workspace applications because this functionality only surfaces for contacts whose Workspace profiles are linked to an email address. Workspace administrators can enter this information in a few places: The Admin console's "Users" section Google Cloud Directory Sync Admin SDK  End users:  Once available, access the “Copy profile link” in one of two ways:  In the detailed view for a contact, select the "3-dot-menu" and click the "Copy profile link" button.  In a contact list view (e.g. contacts.google.com), selec...

The new integrated view for Gmail

Image
Google released a new, integrated look for Gmail earlier this year, making it simple to switch between important applications like Gmail, Chat, and Meet in a single, centralized area. Regarding the release of this functionality, we have some further information to provide. We are introducing the opt-out experience to a subset of Gmail users starting today. The new Gmail display will remain available for customers to enable via Quick settings as we continue to roll out this new experience. We will continue to closely monitor customer input both throughout this launch and going forward. When enabled, the new navigation menu makes it simple to transition between your email, crucial discussions and joining meetings without opening a new window or tab. We believe that this new experience will help you remain on top of...

Start meetings more efficiently with the Calendar guest list in Google Meet

Image
Quick summary  In Google Meet, you can now see participants who were invited to the meeting but have yet to join the call. These participants can be found under the “Also invited” heading. Additionally, you’ll also be able to see the RSVP status of everyone on the invite, including “optional” attendees and RSVP notes.  From here, you can reach out to those users via Chat to confirm whether they will be joining directly from Meet, eliminating the need to open additional tabs or switch to another app.  We hope this feature makes it easier for you to start meetings more efficiently by quickly determining who has not joined and sending them a nudge via Chat directly from Meet.  Getting started  Admins:  There is no admin control for this feature.  End users:  For users in eligible Google Workspace editions, this feature will be available by default for Meet calls with a Calendar event.  Rollout pace  Rapid Release and Scheduled Releas...
