Life at Finetech - Episode 5 - Software Engineering 2

In the earlier article it was only about one fourth of our software team, today’s interview is about few more people .The team of Jagath, Chamini, Kalana & Chamath, is playing an essential role to make sure the software team is going. Also the contribution they make cannot be measured.

Jagath Priyashantha - Software Engineer

Jagath has completed his BSc in (Software Engineering) at Java Institute while achieving Diploma in BIT, Graphic Designing (IBTS), Professional Certification in Java Technology at Java Institute. Jagath is a product  of St. Peter’s College, Negombo.

Let’s see what software engineer "Jaga" has to say,

As a software engineer, I work in a constantly evolving environment, due to technological advances and the strategic direction of the organisation. We create, maintain, audit and improve systems to meet particular needs, often as advised by a systems analyst or architect, testing software systems to diagnose and resolve system faults.

To do all this work Finetech gives us an immense support, always provides us with different workshops and make us knowledgeable. The Finetech management is always ready to review our problems regarding any matter. Also I have to say that without the aid of our team members we are nothing.

Chamini Gunasekaran - Software Engineer

Chamini is a talented girl in doing all sorts of designing and she is an old girl of Balangoda Tamil Maha Vidyalaya. Chamini has gained a diploma in Multimedia & Computer Studies.

Let's hear Chamini’s story,

I joined Finetech in 2015 and I can say it was a twist in my life because when I look back I can be happy for myself. Finetech helped me to enhance my talents in the designing field, as well as in development field. If I talk about job role of a developer, software engineers are the computer whizz-kids who are responsible for designing and developing effective software solutions to meet their clients’ requirements. Finetech make sure that the outcome goes in par with the customer requirements.

Kalana Shalitha - Associate Software Engineer

When it comes to mean jokes, the no 1 in the list would be Kalana. But is a watchful guy (especially in the train). Kalana is an Oracle certified professional Java programmer plus he has gained advanced business solution developer skills from the Institute of Java & Software Engineering.

Let’s see what Mr Kalana has to say,

I joined Finetech just after finishing my secondary education. Which now I can say was a brilliant decision. It’s not only skill development but also Fintech has offered all of us a arena for extracurricular activities. In every month from the Finetech Recreation Club an event is organized to keep ourselves active in our hectic schedule. These events keep us, as a one whole family. Also as others mentioned about skill development, yeah it is very true, if we request a training session at any moment  for any matter, Finetech is ready to give us a hand.

The record holder for the youngest brat at Finetech. Chamath has completed his  Higher Diploma in Computer Based Information Systems while achieving a Diploma in Computer System Design at NIBM. Also at the moment he is reading for his bachelors in Computer Science at University College Dublin.

Let’s see what “Math” has to say,

It’s been a journey of 11 months since I started my work at Finetech. As the youngest of the company, I get immense support from my seniors, my parallel colleagues and also from the colleagues of other departments. I can reach out to them whenever I want because they are so much helpful. Even Finetech provides me with the best skill development trainings, workshops, knowledge sharing sessions & also best oversea trainings as well. These help me & my teammates to grow our potential. So what more can we ask for?

Zoom’s Work Transformation Summit on Jan. 19: Fresh Approaches for Moving Forward

These past two years have undoubtedly reshaped work. More specifically, these past two years — shuffling between remote, in-person, and hybrid work scenarios — reshaped what employees expect out of their jobs, how they want to work, and what the office means to them.  Organizations are challenged with making big decisions to meet those expectations, and those decisions will dramatically alter how they hire, manage their facilities, buy technology, and maintain productivity. Simply adjusting policies and retooling previous work models won’t do. It takes a comprehensive reimagining. To help organizations navigate this next phase of work, Zoom is hosting our  Work Transformation Summit  on Jan. 19, a free, half-day virtual event designed to provide you and your organization with meaningful strategies, creative approaches, and innovative solutions for redefining work.  Summit attendees will have the opportunity to hear from peers and industry experts on the importance of embracing technolo
