New Google Sites are also supported by Google Vault. You can use Google Vault to set retention policies for Google Sites, perform searches of Google Sites data, and export Google Sites content. Site data can also be protected by Vault if you are using it to store Google Drive files. If you wish to control site retention, you can create Sites-specific retention guidelines.


Reasons to consider this new feature - Admins


This gives you more leverage of your organisation's information and will help you fulfil your Google Sites data's administrative or legal responsibilities.

Sites will be expelled according to the Drive retention rules if you have them configured to remove data after a retention period.


Available to Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Fundamentals, Education Plus, and Nonprofits.
